Herman’s Modern Bakery Inc., a cherished name in our community for generations, is thrilled to announce its 80th anniversary. Since opening its doors in 1944, this beloved bakery has been serving up fresh, delicious bread, pastries, cookies and cakes, becoming a staple in the hearts (and stomachs) of its loyal customers.
Founded by Herman R. and Maria T. Guerrero in 1944, Herman’s Modern Bakery began as a modest neighborhood bakery with a simple mission: to provide high-quality baked goods made from the finest ingredients. Over the decades, it has grown into a local institution known for its commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and community spirit.
To celebrate this milestone, Herman’s Modern Bakery Inc. will be hosting a number of promotions and a special anniversary event, Family Fun Day on October 26, 2024 from 2:00-6:00PM, free for all featuring an afternoon full of festivities, including:
• A Cake Cutting Ceremony at 2:00PM with our Pan Family
• Live Music and Entertainment throughout the event
• Exclusive Anniversary Treats free and limited-edition carnival foods
• Fun and Games for our community members
• A Hamburger Contest to host and showcase the island’s best hamburger
• A Community Thank-You Raffle, announcement of winners for local business gift cards, bakery merchandise, and more
